Easter Stripes

It seems like ages since I have posted. So much has been happening. We have just started my 4 year old on a Friendly Food/Failsafe diet and it has been eating into all my spare time. I had my gear out and just popped over to the Less is More blog and saw this week's challenge-to add stripes to a one layer card!! Since I have been playing with my new Easter sets for a class I thought I'd give it a go!! I used the Stampin' Up!s Every Egg wheel and then used crayon resist on parts of the picture. Then I masked and used my sponge daubers to add 'stripes' of colour, since I don't have a spectrum pad...for some reason the colours didn't come out right on my photo. I have used Pool Party, Lucky Limeade and Wisteria Wonder and of course the cute little greeting from the Everybunny set! Thanks for looking!

Saleabrating with the Bigshot!

It seems like FOREVER since I have had a chance to blog!! So much has happened. We had a lovely Christmas with my in-laws (I actually stamped ALOT while I was there!) and came home to unpack ready for our friends to arrive (they have 7 kids, so life was a little hectic for a week). Yesterday was my birthday so I left the housework and spent some time stamping. I am getting ready for my Bigshot class up on the Tablelands in 2 weeks time. I thought we would make this cute little box with the Fancy Favor die and fill it with some coordinating notecards and envelopes...

I have been meaning to make these cute easel cards with the tag die as well. This has been CASEd from Bronwyn Easterly. She has some beautiful work on her blog, so pop on over and check it out...

I am still working on our third project-just haven't been happy with the colours, but will fiddle a little more and see what I come up with. Stay posted. Thanks for popping by!

Crazy Chooky!!

I saw this challenge from 'Less is More' and just had to give it a go. I dug out this Penny Black stamp from my pre-Stampin' Up! days and inked it up.  Did I mention that I like chickens?  Had some friends stay and their daughter kept mentioning my chooky stuff I have everywhere!!  The greeting is from Stampin' Up!'s Topsy Turvy Celebration. Love how quick it is to complete the one layer cards and how effective they still look!!.

Music Maddness

Well, not really. Just made a big mess of the table to make a baby card and decided to keep going!! Here is this week's entry to 'Less is More' where this week's challenge is to add MUSIC. This is the only 'musical' stamp set I have (sad really) and I have based this card loosely on my Upline's card I saw in her stash on the weekend (she did hers with French Foliage though). I still feel it's missing something...maybe a bit of bling? I did pop some Dazzling Diamond glitter on the guitar while I had it out...

Well, had better race. Got to get Master 2 to the doctors and half a dozen things done this arvo...Thanks for popping by! Merry Christmas!
